Primo® XT transparent acrylic tubes are made of extruded clear acrylic. XT tubes can be ordered in external diameters from Ø8 to 250mm with different wall thicknesses. The acrylic tubes are optically pure, strong and easy to work with. If desired, the tubes can be fabricated by PyraSied for business customers. Are you looking for larger diameters? Then choose tubes made of cast acrylic. Versato® GS (cast acrylic) tubes are optically purer than extruded transparent tubes. Extruded tubes can contain extrusion lines.
Transparent tubes of XT acrylic can be ordered online in external diameters from Ø40 to 250mm with wall thicknesses varying from 2, 3, 4 and 5mm. Extruded tubes with a smaller diameter (Ø8 – 30mm) can be ordered through our sales department, for this, a minimum packaging unit of 50, 25 or 5 pieces applies, depending on the diameter. View our delivery program for more information. If you are looking for larger diameters, you can opt for cast acrylic tubes. Do you prefer XT acrylic? For business customers, it is possible to order larger diameters of transparent XT tubes with a minimum order quantity.
* Please note, for cut-to-size tubes, a delivery time of 7 working days applies. Our standard delivery time applies to full-length tubes.
Transparent tubes of acrylic are often used in the machinery industry. These tubes can also be used in the stand- and exhibition building, in the furniture/interior design and mostly for technical applications (reactors). Acrylic tubes XT are fairly UV stable and weather resistant, but they are not designed for long-term outdoor use. Ultimately they will yellow. For optical applications, we recommend using cast acrylic tubes.

There are two main types of acrylic, cast and extruded acrylic. An advantage of cast acrylic is that it is easy to produce in small quantities, which offers flexibility. Extruded acrylic has the advantage that it hardly knows any thickness tolerance.
Acrylic is optically more pure than polycarbonate. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is much more impact-resistant than acrylic, but yellows faster.
No, we do not have samples available since there are so many variations. You can order a 1-meter tube for testing purposes.
