Satin acrylic (GS) clear has a soft and pleasant surface texture. Satin acrylic is not dirt-adherent and very easy to maintain. Acrylic is UV stable, weather-resistant and can be used both indoors and outdoors. The satin plexiglass sheets are very clear and beautiful in combination with light. Acrylic captures the light, guides the light and plays with the light. Acrylic (plexiglass) is particularly durable due to very long colour fastness and longevity. Satin acrylic 61000 is made from 100% recycled acrylic.

When do you choose cast (GS) acrylic?

PyraSied stocks acrylic in cast (GS) and extruded (XT). An advantage of GS is that it is easy to produce in small quantities, which offers flexibility. That is why we have cast acrylic in stock in various thicknesses, colours, surface structures and design variants. In addition, the technical characteristics of cast acrylic are slightly better than XT, making it easier to fabricate.

    Stock satin acrylic

PyraSied has two-sided satin clear 61000 in stock in thicknesses of 3 – 20mm. Clear one-sided satin 5000 is standard in stock in 3, 4 and 8mm thick. Other thicknesses can be ordered with a minimum order quantity. The acrylic can be ordered cut to size via our webshop. Are you looking for satin acrylic with a colour? Then you can take a look at our Satinglas collection. You can choose from our extensive collection of more than 20 satin colours.

    Environmentally friendly acrylic
Greencast® Satin 61000 is made from 100% recycled pre- and post-consumer acrylic. It has the same excellent properties as standard cast acrylic. It is also just as clear and indistinguishable from standard cast acrylic. It is a more sustainable alternative without compromising on quality. In addition to clear acrylic, we also have black, white, opal and various transparent colours in stock in recycled acrylic.

    Applications

Satin acrylic is suitable for a lot of different applications and is mainly used in the interior building, stand- and décor building, retail design, lighting, signage and display building. Acrylic is UV stable and weatherproof and can be applied indoors and outdoors. For some inspiration, please take a look at our Acrylic Community.

    Fabrication

Sawing, milling, laser-cutting, warm bending, bonding, drilling, faceting, polishing, matting and printing. For more information about fabricating acrylics, please take a look at our fabrications page.

    Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between cast acrylic and extruded acrylic?

There are two main types of acrylic, cast and extruded acrylic. An advantage of cast acrylic is that it is easy to produce in small quantities, which offers flexibility. Extruded acrylic has the advantage that it hardly knows any thickness tolerance.

When do you choose for acrylic and when do you choose for polycarbonate?

Acrylic is optically more pure than polycarbonate. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is much more impact-resistant than acrylic, but yellows faster.
