PyraSied has more than 11 different mirror acrylic colours on stock in fixed sheet sizes suitable for the laser machine. An advantage of Plexiglas mirror is that it breaks much less quickly than a normal mirror. In fact, it is practically unbreakable. Another advantage over ordinary mirrors is that it is a lot lighter in weight and easy to fabricate. Mirror Plexiglas hardly has any thickness tolerance. Primo XT mirror acrylic (Plexiglas / pmma) is 25 times stronger than glass and is available in 11 different colours in a thickness of 3 mm. Mirror acrylic is lightweight, impact-resistant, practically unbreakable and has hardly any thickness tolerance. All colours can be ordered in three fixed sizes. The mirror can be used for many different applications. When the weight of the material is important, then plastic has a major advantage. Glass mirrors are for example dangerous for ceilings, therefore plastic mirrors offer a safer solution. Polycarbonate mirror is recommended when the mirror must be hufterproof. Mirror acrylic is slightly flexible and must be attached to a flat surface for a good result. If this is not done properly, you will get a distorting mirror. The standard acrylic mirrors can be used for outdoor applications and in wet conditions. It is important in this situation that the edge is sealed, otherwise, the metal-coating will oxidise.
